YMCA Silver Fiesta 2019
In its 8th-year running, the YMCA Silver Fiesta is an annual event organised by the YMCA of Singapore for the silver generation.
As Singapore progresses to be an increasingly smart nation, we want to make sure that the silver generation is not being left behind. Through the YMCA Silver Fiesta 2019, we hope to empower seniors with digital literacy skills to keep them deeply connected with new technology.
The event also promotes intergenerational bonding between the seniors and volunteers by encouraging the young generation to be involved.
Through various digital activities and stage performances, we will be equipping seniors with basic digital skills and promoting active ageing through arts and cultural participation.
This year, we are expecting a crowd of 1360 seniors, 575 volunteers and 500 walk-in participants.
