Over 700 YMCA staff, students and volunteers from all walks of life went on an island-wide street collection to raise funds for the elderly through YMCA Flag Day on 6 June 2018. This year, YMCA of Singapore aims to raise $60,000 for five YMCA Community Service Programmes serving the elderly. These programmes include Y Food of Love, Y Makan Fellowship, YMCA Spring Clean, YMCA Silver Fiesta and Y Visit.

Each year, YMCA relies on the generosity of community-minded individuals and organisations to fund our programmes, which reaches out to different segments of the community.

As Singapore move towards being a strong digital nation, a cash free donation option was incorporated as a means of donation for YMCA Flag Day 2018. Donors were able to make donation through cashless technology with a quick scan of a QR code. Under the DonateNOW Campaign 2018 organised by National Council of Social Service which runs from May to December 2018, YMCA of Singapore is the first social service organisation to adopt new cashless payment technologies for the collection of donations.
