Mr Kenneth Tan Chih-Sien

Kenneth is a media industry veteran, with 29 years’ experience in senior management positions. He is Chairman of the Singapore Film Society, responsible for the country’s longest-established cinema organisation, and previously led Golden Village, Mediacorp TV, Mediacorp Radio, and Acorn Marketing & Research Consultants. Kenneth also served nine years in the public sector, as Chief Operating Officer and Assistant Chief Executive at the Info-communications Media Development Authority.

Having served the Community Chest as a Committee Member and volunteer trainer for SHARE (Social Help & Assistance Raised by Employees) for ten years, as well as having taught in programmes run by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre for executives with fundraising responsibilities, Kenneth is also active in community service and academia, currently serving as Adjunct Associate Professor at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. He is a sought-after conference speaker, having delivered keynote addresses in 14 countries on three continents.

Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, and former Chairman of the Promote Mandarin Council responsible for Singapore’s Speak Mandarin Campaign, Kenneth graduated with First Class Honours in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
