Steve Loh
General Secretary & CEO

Mr Loh joined the YMCA in August 2018 as General Secretary & CEO. Mr Loh works closely with the YMCA Board of Directors to provide leadership, strategic direction and operational oversight over all initiatives in YMCA’s social enterprises and community programmes. Prior to joining YMCA, Mr Loh had some 12 years of experience within the social service and charity sector, serving in various leadership positions in local and international charities.

Mr Loh also worked in the international media industry for some 14 years prior to entering the non-profit sector, where he eventually set up his own media company that produced content for international broadcasters as well as marketing, advertising and branding initiatives for MNCs.


Lynette Yeo
Assistant General Secretary, Social Enterprises

Ms Yeo joined the YMCA in March 2008 as General Manager of the YMCA Education Division and assumed the role of Assistant General Secretary, Social Enterprises in February 2012. Ms Yeo provides leadership in developing business strategies for YMCA’s social enterprises, namely the YMCA International House and YMCA Education Services. Prior to joining YMCA, Ms Yeo held senior management positions in large corporations and MNCs for 20 years, where she was involved mainly in business advisory and financial management.

Ms Yeo is a Fellow of CPA Australia and holds an MBA (with Distinction) from Murdoch University.


Joseph Chow
General Manager, International House

Mr Chow joined the YMCA in March 2014 as General Manager, International House. Mr Chow is responsible for the business development and operational management of YMCA’s International House. Mr Chow has over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry in Singapore and Malaysia, managing functions in Front Office, Housekeeping, Human Resources and Security.

Mr Chow holds a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. 


Elaine Tan
General Manager, Programmes

Ms Tan joined the YMCA in June 2019 as General Manager, Programmes. Ms Tan is responsible for the design, development and deployment of a diverse portfolio programmes that impact the lives of various segments of the community which include youths, persons with special needs and the elderly. Ms Tan has extensive senior management and leadership experience with NGOs and social service organizations including World Vision Singapore, Breast Cancer Foundation and WWF Singapore, where she was CEO. Prior to joining the social service sector, Ms Tan was Head of Corporate Communication in the Ministry of Manpower and National Healthcare Group.

Ms Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Literature from the National University of Singapore. 


Tan Heng Khuan
General Manager, Finance

Mr Tan joined the YMCA in March 2017 and is currently heading the financial reporting and business support functions of YMCA. He has been CFO/Finance Head of listed companies and MNCs, establishing financial/administrative systems & controls in Asia, Europe & Africa, and lately in preparing companies for IPO listings.

Mr Tan graduated with a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and an Honours degree in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore.


Yap Lai Ping
General Manager, Human Resource & Admin

Ms Yap joined the YMCA in March 2017 as General Manager, HR & Admin. Ms Yap is responsible for the full spectrum of human resource functions that include talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation, and succession planning. Ms Yap has 20 years of human resource experience in the Banking and Technology sectors. 

Ms Yap holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University.
