The Cause

Since its founding in 1902, the YMCA’s goal has been to nurture Community Champions, who go on to serve a multitude of beneficiaries in society.

In 2017, YMCA mobilised more than 8,000 volunteers who dedicated over 130,000 hours (worth almost $2.6m*) to help over 23,000 beneficiaries through 327 programme sessions. It takes close to $2m a year to run these sessions.

With your help, we can continue to empower more beneficiaries.

All funds raised will go a long way in contributing towards YMCA’s efforts to develop the “heartware” for Singapore through its programme and service infrastructure, build a resilient and caring society through sustainable community engagement programmes and nurture socially responsible community champions who can positively impact society. The beneficiaries can also be assured that the YMCA programmes which they always look forward to participating in can continue.
